Google Sets Up Shop in Reston

October 7th, 2008 Posted in Around the Web

I had heard rumors that Google had created a presence in the neighborhood but did not realize they were this close. I took the family for dinner at the Reston Town Center this weekend and noticed they had moved in. Great location too being right across the street from the American Tap Room.

The Restonian posted a story about this last week.

“Google has come to town, though you’d hardly know it from its nondescript, newly constructed building in Reston Town Center. The only clue to the company’s presence is a small listing on the building’s tenant directory.”

That small listing made for quite the conversation maker for passerbys.

edit: I was just informed that Google opened an office in DC on New York Ave in January. I think Reston is the place to be though.
